Program Overview

Mission/Objectives:
TU Wien Bibliothek has established Austria's first fully open access publisher with TU Wien Academic Press (https://www.tuwien.at/academicpress/en). TU Wien Academic Press publishes high-quality open access monographs, collected volumes, and conference proceedings from key research areas of TU Vienna, including subjects such as architecture, urban and spatial planning, climate and energy, transportation, computer science, artificial intelligence, as well as works related to Vienna and the region of Central and Southeastern Europe. High scientific integrity and high academic quality are the central focus at TU Wien Academic Press. All manuscripts, from submission through publication, go through a comprehensive quality assurance process, including peer review. Optionally, books are additionally also published as print books. TU Wien Bibliothek also offers alternative open access publication opportunities for journals with the Janeway hosting platform. The platform reposiTUm supports the open access strategy of TU Wien and ensures the best possible dissemination of scientific publications of TU Wien members. The metadata is curated by the library and delivered to OpenAIRE and BASE.
