The Kudos program recognizes impactful work done by community members on behalf of the Library Publishing Coalition community.
This Kudos recognizes the 2025-2026 Showcase Week Task Force: Jessica Kirschner (co-chair), Molly Reed (co-chair), Jojo Karlin, Maryna Kovalyova, Sonya Betz (Board liaison)
This tiny task force took on a very ambitious task: creating a new Showcase Week program and scheduling the first Showcase Week only 8 months into the group’s work. This involved program design, a call for contributions from the community, lots of decisions about the platform, working with a large amount of content, and drafting communications. A member of the group (Jojo) even created custom, hand-drawn illustrations for the site! Their creativity and hard work paid off in a very successful first Showcase Week, and a tangible contribution to making visible the important work of library publishing. Kudos to the Showcase Week Task Force!

Launching Showcase Week alongside the new Library Publishing Creates website was a way to more fully recognize and elevate the important contributions library publishers make across our institutions and communities.
